Nicoletta J. Olori passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 11th, 2024. She was born in Abbateggio, Italy,on May 4, 1950, to Agostino and Marietta DiValentino. Her middle name was styled after her beloved grandmother, Giulia, leading to the nickname ‘Julie’ used by close friends and family. When Nicoletta was five her family emigrated to the US and settled in Haverstraw, New York. In 1971 she married John Olori in St. Peter’s Church. Nicoletta was an accountant for more than 25 years, working at Semperit America, Franzese & Balian CPAs, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and Olori Crane Service. She also ran her own business through the Shaklee Corporation to help others improve health and wellness. In 2001she was honored as Woman of the Year by the Rockland Business and Professional Women’s Club. Nicoletta also was an active parishioner at St. Paul’s Church in Congers, serving as Parish Council President, and was a past President of the Sons of Italy Filippo Mazzei Lodge. Later in life, Nicoletta moved to Webster, NY, and was a member of Peace of Christ Parish in Rochester. Nicoletta was predeceased by her husband John, brother Tony DiValentino, and her parents. She is survived by her brother John DiValentino and his wife Sheila, Son Jonathan and his wife Diana Perez, daughter Jennifer and her husband Robert Way, and grandchildren Henry Way and Eleanor Way. She will be missed dearly by brother- and sister-in-laws Carol (Louis) Olori, Robert and Shirley Olori, Kenneth and Joanne Olori, and James and MaryAnn (Olori) VanHouten, along with many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Family will receive friends on Thursday November 21st from 4-9pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, Broadway, Haverstraw, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 10 am, at St. Peter’s Church, Haverstraw, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Mausoleum, Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
