Sherie Anne Smith

Sherie Anne Smith, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on October 15, 1948, Sherie grew up on the Hazel Tompkins Estate in Sparta, North Carolina, a place rich with memories and family love. She was the beloved daughter of the late Hazel and P.H. Tompkins, who adopted and cherished her as their own.

Sherie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Smith, with whom she shared many wonderful years. Her faith as a devout Catholic was the cornerstone of her life, providing strength and solace to herself and those around her. Known for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and boundless positivity, she was a beacon of hope, love, and resilience, even in the hardest of times.

She leaves behind two sons, Chad Cutlip and Mark Tompkins. Chad, along with his wife Penelope and their son Sebastian, carries forward Sherie’s legacy of love and kindness. Her family was her pride and joy, and she held them close to her heart every day of her life.

Sherie’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who were blessed to know her. Her warmth, faith, and uplifting spirit will be forever remembered and cherished by her family, friends, and community. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and positivity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
