Elizabeth Walton
August 25th, 1931 - November 5th, 2024
Betty Walton passed away on November 5, 2024 in Logan, UT. She was born on August 25, 1931, to John Dzuris and Anna Fetish.
She attended Garfield Elementary School, North Junior High School, and Colorado Springs High School, graduating in 1950.
On August 9, 1952, she married Bob Walton after he returned from naval service. Together they raised three children, Don (Lynda), Patty MacMahon (Jim), and Michael(Karen). She had five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She worked as an office manager for Dr. McCorqodale, Dr. Rodman, and Drs. Lavanway and O’Rourke before retiring from the medical profession in the 1980’s. She also worked for Sears in the customer service department for many years.
A devout member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, she helped at virtually any function at the church including craft fairs, dinners, and funerals. She loved travelling on senior bus trips to places like the Rose Bowl Parade, Branson, MO, and Washington, DC. She was a member of the International Polka Club enjoying friends from the club immensely.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at The Springs Funeral Home at 3115 E. Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs. Burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery will be held immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests donations be made to Silver Key Senior Services, 1625 S. Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916, or the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
Betty enjoyed the people in her life…her family, her friends, people at the Polka Club and church. That is the legacy she leaves. Mom, you will be missed but not forgotten.
