Staff Sergeant Beau Ryan Eames, 24, of Providence, Utah, passed away tragically on November 11, 2024, from injuries sustained in an unintentional firearm accident. A beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, Beau was known for his sharp wit, loyalty, and devotion to those he loved.

Beau was born in Logan, Utah, on May 11, 2000, to Erin Handy and Mitch Eames. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming one of two things: a stagecoach driver or an army man. Realizing one of his dreams, Beau enlisted in the U.S. Army while still attending high school.  Upon graduating from Ridgeline High School in 2018, he was immediately sent to begin training as a Cavalry Scout.

Beau served in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 4th Infantry Division, spending seven years in service to his country. During his time in the Army, Beau completed multiple deployments, including to Kuwait in 2020 and a rotation in South Korea from 2023 to 2024. His dedication to his military career earned him numerous accolades, including the Army Achievement Medal. Beau was stationed at Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty) in Fayetteville, NC, and Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his peers and superiors alike.

On August 28, 2020, Beau married the love of his life, Taylie (Purser) Eames. They were together for over seven and a half years.  They created a family with their two beloved dogs, Whiskey and Ranger.

Outside of his military service, Beau was a man of many passions. He loved hunting, even if he wasn’t very good at it. However, he was an avid and skilled shooter, always honing his skills.  Beau was a kid at heart who enjoyed playing video games and was a master at building intricate Star Wars Lego sets.  Beau loved smoking meats for his friends while donning his cowboy boots, cowboy hat, and Pit Viper shades. He had a natural ability to make people laugh, always pushing the joke a little bit further.  He savored the reaction.

Beau’s friends and family remember him as a fiercely loyal and supportive person who was always there for those he loved. He will forever live on in our memories, and in the stories we will continue to share. He will be deeply missed by his wife Taylie, his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Beau is survived by his wife Taylie Eames and two dogs, Whiskey and Ranger, his parents Erin & Chris Handy and Mitch Eames, his siblings Karissa (Tai) Brown, Lorelei Handy, and Sonya Handy, grandparents Vicky & Robert Mather, Ezra & Marsha Eames, Kent & Mary Lundell, and Roger & Annette Handy.  He is also survived by a village of devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins.

An open house celebration of Beau’s life will be held on November 23rd, from 12:00- 17:00 at Eagles Landing (6038 N 1200 W, Smithfield, UT 84335). Military Honors will take place at 15:00.
