Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mary’s life at a visitation on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM, located at 205 N. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Born on March 2, 1933, in Olgethorpe, Georgia, she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family and faith. Mary was the beloved daughter of the late John Penland Duncan and Violet King Duncan. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Richard Bruschke, and two siblings. Her life was a testament to the love and partnership she shared with Richard, whom she married in Athens, Georgia.
As a dedicated homemaker, Mary committed herself wholeheartedly to nurturing her family. She was an exemplary mother to her children, Margaret (Mike) Griggs, Richard (Carmen) Bruschke, Cheri (David) Key, and Anne Bruschke. Her affectionate influence extended across generations, as she was lovingly survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought great joy to her life.
Mary was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, where she found spiritual solace and community. Her dedication to Sunday School and Bible study was exemplary, and she was known for her deep love of the Lord, which shone through in her interactions with those around her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of condolences be directed to the First United Methodist Church, a place that was so central to Mary’s life, or any cancer charity or hospice charity of your choice. Her family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to all who have provided support and kindness during this time.
Please sign the online guest registry at www.heritagemfh.com and leave a personal condolence.
