Sue passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 92 after almost 50 years of living and working in Sutter Creek and Jackson. She was an artist, photographer, house painter, wallpaper hanger, and she worked in insurance. In her career as a popular portrait and wedding photographer she shared many life milestones with local families. She served on the Amador County Arts Council and was an animal lover who took in several rescue pets. 

Sue is survived by her brother, Jordan (Rena) Sparks; sister, Sally Hollingsworth; children, Lucy Hackett (John Haedrich), Tom Hackett, Amy Wallace, Frank Hackett (Sabrina Reed); grandchildren, Tyler (Jazmin) Haedrich, Elyse Haedrich (Andy Perez), Jackie Wallace (Michael Fillmore), Alex Wallace (Kayla Nordeoff), Will Taylor, Jimmy Hackett, Tommy Hackett, Travis Hackett; and great-grandchildren, Malee Haedrich, Lyla Haedrich, Eben Taylor; and Roxie, her rescue Boston Terrier. 

No services are planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Amador County Arts Council.
