Gary Richard Schwartz

Schwartz, Gary R., age 82, of Maplewood, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. He was born on August 29, 1942, and lived a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community.
Gary proudly built his career with McGough Construction, retiring after many years of service. He was also an active member of the South St. Paul VFW, where he cherished the camaraderie and friendships he formed over the years.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jacqueline; his infant daughter Sharon; his parents Joseph and Dorothy; and three older brothers; Joseph, James and Roger.
He is survived by his children, Gregory, Michael (Vicki), and Sheryl (Stephen) Hoke; 9 grandchildren (Jessica, Gregory Jr, Sharon, Cassandra, Stephen, Brandon, Gary, Jacob and Naomi); 12 great-grandchildren (Juliette, Madelynne, Colton, Dean, Mason, Jayce, McKayla, Adeline, Roman, Liliana, McKenna and Layla); and his two younger brothers Thomas and William. Gary also leaves behind many cherished relatives, friends and neighbors who will deeply miss his warmth and humor.
Gary's life was a testament to hard work, family devotion, and enduring friendships. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday November 22 at 10:30am with visitation 9:30am at Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 2119 Stillwater Ave E, St. Paul, MN 551119. Interment Union Cemetery. Memorials preferred to donor's choice.
