Margaret Lee Michael, 84, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away November 19, 2024 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, SC. She was born on November 4, 1940, in Washington, DC to the late Thomas and Effie Pearl Lee.

She was a graduate of Gaithersburg High School, MD, class of 1958.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Harry James (Jim) Michael; son, John Barry Cover, of Centreville, VA; brother, Christopher Halbach and sister, Lois Weil Kaufman, both of Hagerstown, MD.

Peggy was preceded in death by twin sister, Eleanor Joan Gummo of Curwensville, PA; and son, Wesley Scot Cover of Frederick, MD.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Funeral Services will be at the Thompson Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation. Interment will be at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
