Gerald (Jerry) L. Nelson of Hopkins, MN. passed away October 5th 2024. He was born on February 16th 1939 in Minneapolis, MN.

 

He graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1958 and started working for Washington Scientific Industries in 1959 as his one and only real job. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church for many years where he was an usher/greeter.

 

He had a strong faith and started each day with Bible reading and several devotions and then watched his recorded Bible studies in the afternoon. He also enjoyed watching sports such as football, basketball and hockey.

 

Jerry is preceded in death by Mary Ann (mother), Lloyd (father), Karen (wife) and Dennis (brother). He is survived by sons Daniel, Dana and Jeffrey (Kelly), brother Jack (Arlene), step children Scott and Kari. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will all miss him.

 

Private Celebration of Life and interment.
