Edward Woodford White
February 11th, 1936 - November 10th, 2024
Edward Woodford White was born on February 11, 1936, to Edward Haynes White and Lee (Parney) Woodford White, in Hickory Pennsylvania. Edward had two older sisters, Roberta Miller and Nancy Raybeck.
Edward graduated from Hickory High School in 1954. In 1958, Edward married Judith Anderson. Edward and Judith had four children, Bill White, Wendy Yoder, Elizabeth Swartzentruber, and Laura Newman.
Edward, commonly knowns as “Doc”, was a federal meat inspector for over 30 years. After he retired, Edward went to work for his son-in-law Bert Yoder’s construction company.
In 2000, Edward and Judith moved to Florida, where they spent the past 24 years residing in Punta Gorda and Arcadia.
Edward enjoyed farming and restoring tractors. Edward was an avid fan of the yearly Fly Wheels Flee Market in Avon Park, where he would peruse the numerous stalls looking for parts to restore his various tractors, and to watch the tractor pull compitition.
Edward died from a cardiac event on November 10, 2024. At the time of his death, Edward and Judith had been married for 66 years, had four children together, 13 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
Edward is survived by his wife Judith, daughters Elizebeth and Laura, sons-in-law Terry Newman, Bert Yoder, Jay Swartzentruber, daughter-in-law Jan White, grandchildren Dane, Marvin, Ginny, Jeff, Angela, Brandon, Heather, Heidi, Stephanie, Erin, Ryan, and Katie.
Edward joins his son Bill, daughter Wendy, and granddaughter Ashley in eternity.
