It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Rangel Garcia known to all who loved him as Sam, on November 16, 2024, at the age of 68. A man who radiated kindness, love, and authenticity, Sam's legacy will live on through his children and in the countless lives he touched.

Sam was born and raised with a deep sense of family and community, and he dedicated his life to his 3 children, Heather Hernandez, Kody Garcia and Whitney Frogner. His greatest joy was being in the company of his loved ones, and to know him was to be loved by him. He had an open heart for all, always making time to let others know how special they were. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend or family member.

Sam was a hardworking man who made a career as a mechanic and much of that time was spent working at Simplot in Heyburn ID. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing basketball, racquetball, golf, and softball. His children were his greatest pride and joy. Heather Hernandez, Kody Garcia, and Whitney Frogner, fondly remember accompanying him to many of his softball games. After his softball days, Sam focused on his passion for golf, a sport that brought him joy and allowed him to build lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Sam shared this passion with his son and sons-in-law, brothers, nephews, and friends. creating a legacy that will continue to bring them together for years to come.

Sam's family grew to include six grandchildren—Bryce and Cristiano Hernandez, London, Jordan, and Quentin Garcia, and Kennedy McGee—whom he adored deeply. Sam's spirit will live on through them.

Sam was preceded in death by his father, Teodoro, his mother, Refugia, and his

brothers Moises, Abram, Juan, Abel, Aristeo, Abraham, Chon Garcia, and Dan Garcia, his three sisters Juanita, Elvia I, and Elvia.

He is survived by his three children, Heather (Saul Hernandez), Kody (Elizabeth-Naughton-Garcia) and Whitney (Klay Frogner), his six grandchildren, Bryce and Cristiano Hernandez, London, Jordan and Quentin Garcia and Kennedy McGee.
