Susanne Briggs of West Deptford, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday November 21, 2024 at the age of 74.

Legacy

Susanne was born in 1949 in Camden, NJ to John and Jean Briggs. She spent most of her life in West Deptford, NJ and worked for Excess Reinsurance in Woodbury, NJ for many years until her passing. Susanne was an avid walker, enjoyed cooking, and loved spending time with her sons and her family and friends. Susanne devoted her life to spreading the word of God. After beating the odds and surviving pancreatic cancer in 2020, Susanne believed she was gifted more time for a reason. The following year, she published a book titled “God Smiled On This Jersey Girl” which chronicles her cancer battle and her story of faith and devotion. Susanne stated if her book could save just one more person, it would all be worth it.

Family

Susanne is survived by her two sons Shawn Fiordimondo (Melissa) and Michael Fiordimondo; her brothers Thomas (Jackie), Robert (Suzanne), and James; and her many loving nieces and nephews. Susanne was predeceased by her parents John Briggs and Jean Briggs, nee Gaughan; her sister Rosemary Brizuela; her brother John Briggs (Sharon); and her former spouse Andrew Fiordimondo.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, New Jersey 08096. Funeral Service at 11:00AM.
