Diane Hergenroeder Palmer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. Born on August 18, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Diane was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Mercedes (Sullivan) Hergenroeder.
Diane's academic journey led her to the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned both her Bachelor's and M.B.A. degrees. Her professional career spanned over three decades as a marketing manager in the water meter industry, where she was known for her dedication and expertise. A woman of deep faith, Diane was actively involved in her church, St. John the Evangelist, serving as a Sacristan and volunteering in various roles. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and relationships. Diane cherished her family and friends, finding joy in playing Mahjong with her friends, exploring her family ancestry, and praying the rosary with loved ones. Diane is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Edwin; her children, Edwin (Stacey) and Aimee Braley (Robert); her brothers, Paul (Andrea) and Albert (Gigi); her nine treasured grandsons: Zachary, Brett, and Andrew Palmer, Jayden, Tyler, and Ryan Belskus, and Greyson, Ryan and Robert Braley; her dear cousin Patricia Wirry; her best friend of over 60 years Joan Pupik; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.Funeral masses will be celebrated by the Rev. John Britto Antony on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 noon at St. John the Evangelist Church in Melbourne, FL and by her cousin, the Rev. Charles Bober on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township, PA followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Hazelwood. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Diane’s memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church.
