Robert "Bob" Allen Parlier
October 8th, 1930 - November 21st, 2024
Robert Allen Parlier was born in Parlier, California on 10/8/1930 to the parents Bernice Tremper and Wesley Parlier. Robert graduated in 1949 from Santa Maria Highschool.
Soon after, he and his friends signed up to join the Navy. He served in the Korean War, in the Pacific. Robert was honorably discharged on 10/15/1954.
He met his sweetheart Suzan Neitzert before his enlistment at Rick’s Drive-In in Santa Maria, CA. They kept up correspondence through the war and after. Robert and Suzan were married on 11/23/1956 and remained that way for 67 years until Suzan’s death on 12/16/2023. Robert and Suzan had two daughters, Nina Parlier 1960 and Sasha Parlier 1974.
Robert attended Fresno State graduating in 1959 with a degree in civil engineering. Robert became a civil engineer for the Department of Water Resources eventually becoming the Chief of Construction until his retirement in 1995.
He and his wife Suzan settled in the small town of Corning, CA living on a small farm dedicated to olive cultivation.
Robert Parlier passed away on November 21, 2024. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, family and friends.
