Matthew James Holslaw

Matthew James Holsclaw, beloved son, brother, and friend, gently passed away on November 22, 2024, in Berthoud, Colorado, at the age of 59. Born on December 16, 1964, in Fort Lupton, Colorado, Matthew lived a life rich in family, community, and a deep appreciation for all things Denver Broncos.

Matthew was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 28.  Matthew spent his years working on the family dairy farm, investing his passion and dedication into every task. His work ethic was as steadfast as his loyalty to his loved ones. He was a man who embraced the simple joys in life, finding fulfillment in the labor of his hands and the warmth of his family.

An active member of the Lions Club and Four Way Baptist Church, Matthew was no stranger to lending a helping hand or sharing a smile. He lived his life with a generous spirit, always ready to support a good cause or brighten someone’s day with his infectious humor.

Perhaps one of Matthew's most ardent passions was his devotion to the Denver Broncos. The ultimate fan, he never missed a game and loved sharing this enthusiasm with his siblings, Mark, Mike, Leslie, and Krista.

For the past seven years he has lived at the Berthoud Care and Rehabilitation Center.  The family of Matthew is so very appreciative of the care he received during this stay, and especially during his final days.  Thank you, BCH, a special thank you to Rashell Gray for everything she did for him.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories and laughter Matthew gifted to us. May we carry his kindness forward and keep his spirit alive in our actions and in the many stories we hold dear.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his twin brother Mark, brother Mike, sisters Leslie & Krista.
