"Praise God! Protect me and mine from those who would harm us. Lead us to safety, Lord. Amen."

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda “Grams” Perry, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother ("GG"), sister, aunt, cousin and friend, on Thursday November 21st, 2024. She was 81 years old.

Linda was born on October 9th, 1943 in St. Joseph County, Indiana, to the late Howard Hostetler and the late Thelma (Singleton) Hostetler. Grams was one of eight children. She was the loving wife of William “Bill” Perry, who predeceased her by 24 years. They lived together in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She had one daughter, Cindy Evans, who will forever cherish her memory. After Bill's passing, Grams moved with Cindy and her family to Colorado in 2002, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Grams worked retail at Walmart for over 20 years and still worked a few days a week up until the time of her passing. She enjoyed getting to know her coworkers and meeting many friends during her time there. She also loved spoiling her family with the treasures she would find while working. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, drinking coffee, and watching Lifetime movies and Netflix shows with Cindy. Above all, she loved her family, and she cherished the quality time she would spend with them; whether talking to her sisters on the phone for hours at a time and hearing all about their families and adventures, taking summer vacations to Indiana and making memories there with family, having weekly lunch dates with her grandson Allen, or shopping with Cindy and granddaughter Jenelle. She was filled with joy when Jenelle and her husband Casey brought her two “grand-dogs” Allie and Indy to visit (especially Allie, because they had all lived together for a few years). Her grandma-spoiling-ways extended to the family's “fur-babies” as well, which is a true testament to her thoughtfulness and loving nature; she always made sure everyone felt included.

Grams was a woman of great faith, who was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, her gentle nature, and her unwavering love.

She is survived by her daughter: Cindy Evans; her grandchildren: Jenelle (Casey) Jero and Allen (Erica) Evans. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter: Averlee Jade Evans, whom she adored; her loving sisters: Lois Lovitt and Carol Lake; one Aunt: Phyllis (Hostetler) Kurzhal; Cousin: Gary Singleton and several adored nieces and nephews.

Grams was preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Thelma (Singleton) Hostetler; her husband William “Bill” Perry; one sister: Louetta Louise Blakley; and four brothers: Lonnie Lewellen Hostetler, Leon "John" Lee Hostetler, Lewis "Joe" Leroy Hostetler, and Clifford Eugene Wolff Jr.

Cremation has been conducted by Vessey Funeral Service in Fort Collins, Colorado. A family service may be orchestrated at a later date.

Rest in peace, sweet Grams. You will be forever missed and always remembered by many.
