Sheryl A Cook
January 7th, 1945 - November 18th, 2024
Sheryl A. Cook, a woman with a zest for life, took her final bow on November 18, 2024, in Largo, FL. Born on January 7, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the fiery matriarch of a family lit with the same vivacious energy she carried throughout her 79 years. Known for her spunk and sense of humor, she spent many years shaping the beauty of the Libbey Glass Factory in Toledo, Ohio. Her hands were as skilled as her wit was sharp, and she left a legacy of laughter and spirit for all who had the opportunity to work with her.
She was a woman who lived life on her terms, with a golf club in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, always ready to hit the beach or the green. Sheryl's stories of her single skydiving adventure became the stuff of family legend, and she recounted it with such gusto, you'd swear you were there.
She leaves behind her children, Robyn (Greg) Agerskov, Christian (Cindy) Cook, and Aaron (Maria) Cook, who will carry on her memory as they share countless stories of her sternness and wit. Sheryl's grandchildren, Gregory, Christian, Kaleb, Noah, Maximus, Londyn, and Sydney, were the apples of her eye, and she adored them. The arrival of her great-granddaughter, Millie Agerskov, added another layer of joy to her life. Sheryl's sister, Kathleen Harrington, and her nieces, Melinda, Melissa, Michelle, and Carrie, will miss her larger-than-life presence and her uncanny ability to turn any situation into a moment of amusement.
"Jesus, Mary & Joseph!" will echo in the hearts and minds of those who loved her. They were not just words but a testament to her no-nonsense approach to life's ups and downs.
Generous to a fault, Sheryl never missed an opportunity to give, whether it was her time, her love, or the shirt off her back. She was the embodiment of generosity, spirited and funny, leaving wake of chuckles and goodwill wherever she went.
To say Sheryl was a character would be an understatement. She was the entire cast, the director, and the audience, all rolled into one unforgettable woman.
As we bid farewell to Sheryl A. Cook, let's raise a glass in her honor and remember the woman who lived life with a twinkle in her eye and a witty remark on her lips. So here's to Sheryl, who taught us to live with a little more fire, a lot more laughter, and to always enjoy the ride, or free-fall like when she jumped from a plane that one time. Cheers to a life beautifully lived and a woman who will be greatly missed and "Quit your boo hooing!".
