Jean E. Burnham
November 8th, 1932 - November 23rd, 2024
Jean Elizabeth Burnham (née Houghton), a lifelong resident of Warren, passed peacefully on November 23, 2024, with the love of her family surrounding her, at the age of 92. Born in Ware, MA, on November 8, 1932, Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Edgar J. and Daisy C. (Keehlwetter) Houghton.
Jean was a devoted wife to her late husband, Cedric B. Burnham, with whom she shared many happy years. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children Debra Crossman and her husband Kenneth, Kevin Burnham and his wife Jane, Gary Burnham and his wife Adrienne, and Gail Marriott and her husband Graham. Jean's legacy extends to her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Barbara Morin and Louise Dickinson and her sister-in-law Patricia Jusko.
She was a lifelong member of the Federated Church in Warren, where she dedicated her time to serving her community and nurturing her faith. Family was the heart of Jean's existence, and she relished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Traveling with her late husband was one of her great joys, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
The family welcomes friends and relatives to remember and celebrate Jean's life. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, from 5-7 PM at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A service in her honor is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, at 10 AM in the funeral home, followed by the burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren.
Donations may be made in Jean's memory to Baystate Hospice (30 Capital Dr., W. Springfield, MA 01089), reflecting her appreciation for the care and support she received.
