Darlene Walker Stafford, 96, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
A native of Guilford County, NC, Darlene was the wife of the late Elmer Levi “Biddy” Stafford and the daughter of Howard Wade Walker and Jessie Lee Morton Walker, both deceased. Darlene was a long-time member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she faithfully played the piano for more than 20 years. She enjoyed spending time working in the yard and tending to her flower gardens. Darlene was an amazing seamstress making dresses and clothing for her family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Darla S. Landreth and Danette S. Williams; and one granddaughter, Lindsey Carpenter and husband, Zac.
The family will greet friends from 3:00PM to 5:00PM Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, Kernersville, NC.
Funeral services celebrating Darlene’s life will be held at 2:30PM Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Union Grove Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, NC with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
