**Obituary for Bobbie Eugene Gilbreath** With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bobbie Eugene Gilbreath, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on November 23, 2024. Born on January 30, 1933, in Ballinger, Texas, Bobbie led a life dedicated to service and family, leaving behind a legacy of courage and commitment. Bobbie was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, bravely serving in Korea. He was honored with several medals, including the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. After his military service, Bobbie pursued a career as a firefighter, dedicating his life to protecting and serving the community until his retirement. An individual of dedication and integrity, Bobbie was married to his cherished wife, Zona Onita, for over 60 enduring years until her passing. Together, they built a loving family and shared countless memories. Bobbie is survived by his beloved daughter, Leann Gilbreath, and her husband, Jeff Draney, of Tonopah, AZ; his son, Robert Hal Gilbreath, of Laveen, AZ; his grandson, Joshua Sheffield; and his great-granddaughter, Gabriela Sheffield. His legacy continues to live in their hearts. Although Bobbie left this world from Tonopah, Arizona, his influence and memories remain in all places touched by his life. His community contributions and sacrifices will be remembered and celebrated for years to come. His journey was an inspiration to many, marked by his bravery both abroad and at home. The community is encouraged to remember Bobbie for his unwavering dedication to family and service. He will be dearly missed, yet his spirit endures through those whose lives he touched. While details of the ceremony celebrating his life are pending, condolences and reflections can be shared with his family as they navigate through this time of loss. May Bobbie Eugene Gilbreath rest in peace, a true embodiment of service and love.
