Raymond Bruce Walker of Millville, 85 years of age, widower of Shirley Ann Fredrick Walker passed away on November 26, 2024, at Frankfort Regional Hospital. He was born February 6, 1939, in Livingston, Tennessee to the late John Dillard and Lora Lee Walker, of Livingston, Tennessee.

 

Bruce was a member of Millville Baptist Church but attended regularly at Real-Life Church, Frankfort and Seeds of Love, Frankfort.

 

Bruce worked for many years as a cook at Cliffside Restaurant and this is where he met his lovely wife Shirley, he then went to work for Kroger. After Kroger Bruce owned and operated a towing and auto body garage in Millville. He loved working with cars and painting them.

 

Bruce is survived by his son Raymond Paul Walker (Sheila) of Frankfort; his daughter, Melissa Carol Rice (Paul) of Frankfort. His sisters Josie Severt, of Ohio and Patricia Knox, of Frankfort, his grandchildren, Josh Rice (Natasha) of Frankfort, Cody Walker (Kelly) of Lawrenceburg, Kayla Rice Spaulding of Frankfort, Tabby Rice of Frankfort and Hunter Walker (Cheyene) of Berea and his great grandchildren Aiden Rice, Sadie Spaulding, Remington Walker, Ryder Walker, Paisley Rice, June Spaulding, Rylan Spaulding, and Rhett Walker.

 

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton and Carlos Walker and his sisters Judy Gaines, Carrie Smith, Ollin Poe, Allien Smith, Vestie Newberry.

 

Funeral services will be conducted on December 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, Kentucky with Pastors Keith Sparks and Morton McIntyre officiating. Visitation for family will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Visitation for friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

 

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, pallbearers will be his son-in-law Paul Rice, grandsons Josh Rice, Cody Walker, and Hunter Walker, other pallbearers will be Ray Jacobs and David Penn. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters Kayla Spaulding, Tabby Rice and his close friends Lawrence Morton and Seldom Jackson
