ERICKSON, Sue E. (nee Driscoll), 84. Suddenly and unexpectedly November 19th.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, long time North Saint Paul resident and committed community volunteer.
Preceded in death by husband of sixty years, Ed, mother Rosemary (Driscoll) Marsh, father Howard Driscoll, stepfather Jug Marsh, sister Josie Driscoll, brothers Billy and Pat Driscoll. She is survived by sons Eddie and Shaughn, grandchildren Connor (Val) Erickson, Daniel (Nicole) Erickson, Colleen (Ethan) Erickson, Andy (Sabreena) Erickson, John-Thomas Erickson, Lila Erickson and the grandchildren’s mother Kirsten Chapman. Great grandchildren Konrad, Salvador, Henry, Penelope, Harvey and Natalie (due to be born in February 2025), many other extended family members, and friends.
Sue was born in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Rice Lake and New Richmond, WI. She graduated from New Richmond HS and UW River Falls. She worked for Armour Foods and McKesson-Robbins before retiring in 2000.Once retired, Sue became a dedicated volunteer. She donated her talents to Church of the Assumption, The Ramsey County Sherriff’s department and The Salvation Army.
Sue was an enthusiastic and talented athlete; she excelled at softball, basketball, swimming and was a life-guard in her younger years.
Anyone who knew Sue knew she was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage and had the opportunity to visit her beloved Ireland when she was in her 30s. She and her late sister Josie were the grand marshals of the New Richmond WI, St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2002; it was an honor they both cherished.
Mass of Christian burial:
Church of The Assumption
51 7th St W, St Paul, MN 55102
10AM Friday December 6th.
There will be a visitation at the church at 9AM prior to the Mass.
Memorials preferred to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Paul, MN, St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Church of the Assumption.
