Harold Wyke, 87, of Loveland, CO passed away on November 19, 2024. Harold was born in Lawrenceville (Chester), West Virginia on May 22nd, 1937 to Harold and Violet Wyke. He attended Chester High School in Chester, WV and then joined the US Air Force in December 1954. Harold was a ground radio operator and earned a top-secret clearance. He deployed to numerous locations around the world but his most challenging duty assignment was in Antarctica where he deciphered and coded top-secret messages during the Cold War era. He was Honorably Discharged in December 1962. Harold served his country proudly in the USAF and as a military veteran. 

Harold and Bonnie met in Abelene, TX and were married for 67 years. They lived in many locations in the U.S. but the most memorable were Texas and Northern California. They raised 4 children together in Sacramento and loved to travel to Hawaii. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Richard D. Wyke and daughter, Janice L. Shrum. 

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie R. Wyke; Johnny Wyke (brother), Charlene Baily (sister), Gloria Boyd (sister) and his children; Diana L. Veilleux of Loveland, CO and Gregory P. Wyke of Rocklin, CA. 

Grandchildren: Jennifer Zirbel, Mathew Gauthier, Stephanie Cole, David Wyke, Sheldon Gauthier, Brandilynn Baxter, and Ethan Wyke. 

Great Grandchildren: Mia Baxter, Henry Zirbel, Lillith Wyke, Beau Baxter, Elizabeth Zirbel, Zander Wyke, Christian Gauthier, and Julian Gauthier. 

Other family members include: Michael Veilleux (son-in-law), Stacee Wyke (daughter-in-law), Lori Wyke, Brian Zirbel, Nick Cole, Lily Gauthier, Ashley Wyke, Garrett Baxter, Sydnee Leigh and Bryttnee Meyers. 

He loved playing golf and being outdoors. His favorite phrase was calling the kids “squirt” and Harold was known as a very friendly person to everyone he met. 

Harold was a very caring and loving father.  He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much. 

Harold is in a better place and will forever be watching over his family.
