Lisa Louise Stanley, 57, beloved fiancée, mother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away in Aurora, Oregon on October 26th, 2024, after a long, courageous battle with heart and kidney disease. Lisa was born October 6th, 1967, in Fishers, NY. She was fostered and later adopted by Glenn and Blanche Piper of Victor, NY.

Lisa was taken in by Glenn and Blanche Piper when she was 18 months old. She was adopted in 1972 before starting kindergarten as her parents wanted her to start kindergarten as Lisa Piper. She was the youngest of 5 children. Lisa played in the band while in high school. She was a flute player, something that her youngest daughter would later do. She graduated from Victor High school in 1985. She went to Roberts Wesleyan College and a local community college to study nursing.

Shortly after high school Lisa got married to Kevin Oliver. They welcomed two daughters into the world. Kaitlyn in February of 1989 and MacKenzie in April of 1992. After Kevin finished college they and the girls moved to North Carolina. In 1998, Lisa got married to Harold Stanley. They were married until his passing.

Lisa’s love for adventure and new experiences led her to Oregon in the early spring of 2000. She met her life partner Donald “Donnie” Freel in 2004. Donnie and Lisa shared many interests. He took care of her up until her death.

Lisa had a passion for breeding rats, DJing on online radio stations, computer design (websites), and gaming whether it be board games or computer games. She was a talented jeweler which was something she did a lot of in the last few years of her life. She was a skilled artist and tended to master whatever she set her mind to.

Her children would describe her as a woman with a wild child spirit, heart full of adventure, and someone who wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself or for those around her. She had a complicated and complex relationship with both of her daughters but had started to reconnect at the time of her death. Kaitlyn will miss and cherish the many laughter filled conversations and lessons her mother imparted on her as she was becoming her best friend.

She is survived by her partner Donald Freel, daughters MacKenzie Christensen (Oliver), Kaitlyn Oliver, grandchildren Dominic Messinger-Goff, and Wyatt Dopkowski, siblings Heidi Piper, Glenn Piper Jr., Cindy Toth, Jan Piper- Glasgow, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by both of her parents Glenn and Blanche Piper, Harold Stanley, and her biological parents.

A celebration of life for Lisa is not scheduled at this time, but her daughters will meet in Oregon at a later date to spread her cremains among the trees and fresh air. Her vibrant spirit will continue to live on and inspire her children and grandchildren.
