Roy John Field, 75, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024. Roy was born in Bremen, Germany and was raised in Kentucky.
Legacy
He was a loving and caring husband, father, Opa, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to be around his family, especially his grandkids and he enjoyed going to their sporting events. Roy loved to watch the Philly sports teams and any soccer match. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a Scout Master for the Local Boy Scouts 62. He proudly served for the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Family
He is the beloved husband of 53 wonderful years to Diane Alma Field (nee Carson). Devoted father of Jennifer (John), Jonathan (Julia), Jillian (Peter), and the late Jeffrey. Adored Opa of Cassidy, Charlotte, Carson, Abigail, Aiden, Justin, Sadie, and Stella. Dear brother of Ronald (Joy). Treasured brother-in-law to Andrea and Godfather to Jade. Predeceased by his parents John and Irma Field. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, December 4th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home- Woodbury Location, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment to follow with military honors in New St. Mary's Cemetery Bellmawr, New Jersey.
