Amanda Rogers, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, was born on April 2, 1989, in Northridge, California, to her loving parents, Tammy and Grady Miller. She grew up in Peoria, Arizona, surrounded by family and friends who cherished her vibrant spirit and kind heart.
From an early age, Amanda enjoyed music and dance. At age three she enrolled at Marilyn’s Academy of Dance where she formed many lifelong friendships with fellow dancers and dance instructors. In high school she was a member of Performance Dance and received an athletic letter.
Amanda graduated from Centennial High School before enrolling at the University of Arizona in 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Administration in 2011, laying a strong foundation for her career in public service.
Amanda’s career in state government began with the Arizona Department of Education, where she was involved in the accreditation process of teachers. After working for the agency, Amanda accepted a job opportunity at the Department of Economic Security. She promoted a couple more times and developed deep bonds and friendships with her co-workers and boss. She loved the management opportunities and the unique challenges of her job as a Deputy Administrator.
In 2015, Amanda married the love of her life, David Rogers. Together, they created a nurturing and loving home filled with laughter and joy. Amanda was a devoted mother to her two wonderful children, Hailey, aged six, and Colton, aged two. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she took great pride in being their guiding light and best friend. Every day was filled with her unwavering support, playful spirit, and exemplary love as she embraced the joys of motherhood.
Shortly after marriage, Amanda and David attended graduate school to further their skills, knowledge, and marketability in their respective careers. Amanda attended the University of San Francisco and received a Master in Public Administration while David attended Syracuse University and received a Master in Business Administration.
On November 15, 2024, Amanda tragically passed away, leaving a profound void in the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, David, her cherished children, Hailey and Colton, her parents, Tammy and Grady, and countless family members and friends whose lives she touched.
