Aline LeRouge Cooper, 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away November 28, 2024. Born May 14, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Emile F. LeRouge  and Gladys Gras LeRouge.

She worked at Celanese Corp. for over 30 years and enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends and LSU football.

Aline is survived by her loving sons William (Carol) Cooper, Michael (Yvonne) Cooper and Tim (Dawn) Cooper. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren Alison Cooper and TJ Cooper, her sister Catherine (Gene) Foret, brother Dennis LeRouge, nieces Elaine and Julie, nephew Rick plus other cousins in Louisiana.

Aline was a devout Catholic and loved the traditional Latin Mass and was loved deeply by her church friends at St. Ann’s and others she touched in her life.

The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 6 pm Monday, December 2, 2024, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. 

A mass of Christian burial will take place 10am Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 3635 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28209.

Interment will follow at 1pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, 375 Lumen Christi Lane, Salisbury, NC 28147.

Donations may be made in Aline's name to St. Ann Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
