James D. Beattie, 91, of Monroeville NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday November 29th.
Jim was a proud Marine serving in both Vietnam and the Korean War. He honorably held the rank of Staff Sergeant until his retirement March 1, 1981.
Jim is survived by his wife Lillian Beattie (nee Stowman/McCormick) as well as his daughter Carol. He is predeceased by his first wife Carol (nee Whittrock). Jim also leaves behind his step daughter Laurae Wilson, and 3 step-sons Bob, Fred, and Richie Stowman, as well as 32 grandchildren and great children who lovingly referred to him as “Pop Jim”.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at McGuinness Funeral Home, located at 573 Egg Harbor Rd, Sewell, NJ, 08080 on Thursday December 5th from 10:00am-11:00am with services starting at 11:00am. The interment at the Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown immediately to follow.
