Donna A. (nee Cicchine) Godfrey, of Paulsboro, NJ, passed away on November 27th, 2024, at the age of 62.

Born to the late John and Jean (nee DeMatteo) Sinesi on July 16th, 1962. Donna is the beloved sister of the late Carol DeMatteo. Growing up, Donna attended Deptford Township High School. After high school, Donna worked at the Gloucester County Community College in the registration department, where she met the love of her life, Edward Godfrey. The pair became inseparable, going on to marry on April 4th, 1992, in St. Patrick's RC Church. As a couple they enjoyed going out to dinner, go to the movie theater, and enjoy each other's company. The pair had so much love between them, they decided to share it by welcoming their three loving children into their lives, Jonathan (Chelsea) Godfrey, Carol-Elisabeth Godfrey, and Victoria Godfrey. Donna loved being their mom, she wanted to be a part of everything her children did. Donna attended school events, sport competitions, and was the PTA mom most kids dreamed of. As a family, they went to Disney on Ice and decorated for the holidays, specifically Donna's favorite - Christmas. 

Donna's world became much brighter when she became the beloved MiMi of Juliana, Noelia, Gabriela, and Giselle. Donna loved having the girls around. They spent time together by going to church at St. Margaret's Church, telling stories, and cooking. Donna loved to cook, her family fondly remembers her delicious meatballs, tacos, and of course Edward's favorite french toast. Some of the grandkids fondest memories are sitting in the kitchen with MiMi, rolling meatballs and listening to her stories.

When Donna was not with her family, she was listening to music, chatting with her closest friends Karen, Kathy Tama, and Linda, or spending time with her cousin, Carolyn Curiale. Donna also loved to spend hours talking with her sister-in-law Rosemarie on the phone. Donna's love was widely shared with many friends and family. Donna was an active member of the National Federation of the Blind - Garden State Chapter. She would raise funds to support the charity and had fun organizing the parties. Donna's boisterous personality and charisma made it easy for her to make friends and chat with others. 

Donna will be remembered fondly for her heart of gold, love of her family, and kind personality.
