The children of Dolores and Tom Vigil sadly announce the passing of their parents. Dolores was born on August 9, 1941, and passed away on Sunday November 10, 2024, surrounded by her family. Tom was born on February 7, 1938, and passed away peacefully in his sleep 12 days later November 22.
They were married on November 14, 1959, in Las Vegas, NM. They relocated and raised their three children in Santa Fe. Dolores retired from BLM after 35 years of faithful service and Tom was best known as a butcher at Kaune’s on Washington Ave. for many years.
They ran the Santa Fe AABC concession stand for many years where many people would go to the park on summer nights just to enjoy their food. They were huge supporters of the youth of Santa Fe.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Virginia & Joe Lujan and many extended family members. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Annie & Thomas Vigil, brothers Alfred Vigil, Charlie Vigil and sister Isabel Padilla. Brother-in-laws, Larry Padilla & Boleslo Lovato.
They are survived by their three beloved children Janine Vigil, Marcella Gallegos and David Vigil and special daughter-in-law Rita Vigil. Two grandsons, Tommy Vigil (Lisa Portillo) and Andrew Vigil (Heather Gutierrez). Three great grandchildren, Noah Vigil, Eliana Vigil and Nova Mae Vigil. Dolores is survived by her sister Corrine Glidewell and other extended family members. Tom is survived by his sister Stella Lovato and sister-in-law Martha Vigil and many other extended family members.
Cremation has taken place and services are pending.
