Tomelene J. Campbell passed away December 2, 2024, in Modesto, CA at the age of 86. She was born on March 9, 1938, in Modesto, California to her parents Thomas and Edwidge Osterode. A graduate of Thomas Downey High School, she worked for the Prudential Insurance Company, Modesto City Schools and served in the United States Air Force as a Communication Specialist. She married in 1964 and had two sons. The family moved to Florida where she was the vice president of Campbell & Associates, Inc., a Professional Land Surveying firm. She put her creative and artistic talents to use by volunteering for various school and church events. After her sons graduated college, Tomelene and her husband moved to Ione, CA where they resided for approximately 30 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

 

Tomelene is survived by her son Michael Campbell of St. Augustine, Florida. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Campbell of Tampa, Florida and her husband of 58 years, Thomas Campbell.

 

Inurnment will take place at Ione Catholic Cemetery in Ione, CA.
