Alice W. Convery
September 9th, 1945 - December 2nd, 2024
Westfield, MA - Alice W. (Weber) Convery, 79, passed away December 2, 2024 at her home at Armbrook Village with her family by her side. She was born on September 9, 1945 in Bronx, NY to William and Alice (Janicello) Weber. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James J. Convery in 2012. She will be forever missed by her daughters, Melanie Convery and Jamie Convery, as well as by Melanie's husband Neal Coughlin. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Alexis Young and Landon and Octavia Bertheaud. Alice was also a dear sister to William Weber, Daniel Weber, Richard Weber, Diane DeNapoli, and Lorraine Payson and sister-in-law to Robert Convery and Raymond Convery. She was a loving aunt, cousin, and friend. Alice moved to Armbrook Village in Westfield in 2019 and previously lived in Chicopee and Granby after growing up in West Nyack. A devout Catholic, Alice was a long-standing member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where her faith and compassion were evident to all who knew her. She retired as a respected office manager from Canal Village School in South Hadley after over a decade of work. Alice was a caring individual who loved deeply and always without judgement. She enjoyed sewing, reading romance novels, and traveling with her husband. She also loved animals. She was known for her kindness and concern for others and was considered a second mother by many. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family. The family invites you to attend calling hours on Monday, December 9th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story Funeral Home in South Hadley. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby, with burial to follow at West Street Cemetery in Granby. Attendees are asked to meet directly at the church as we gather to honor her life and legacy. Alice requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Food Bank of Western Mass, located at 25 Carew St., Chicopee, MA 01020.
