Ida Luigia Caterina McKim

Ida McKim, born in Los Angeles, California, on October 8, 1928 to parents Giovanni and Mariana Guglielmino, passed away on November 22, 2024 in Rocklin, California at the age of 96 years.

Ida was a devoted wife, mother and friend.  She married the love of her life, Lynn McKim, on August 8, 1953.  They were married for over 58 years, until his passing in 2012. They were blessed with two sons: Kris (wife Cindy) and Paul (wife Andi). In addition to her work with the Little League and other school activities in support of her sons, she volunteered for years at the Mercy Hospital Guild in Redding, California, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Anderson, California.

Ida was a devout, lifelong Catholic, crossword enthusiast and an outstanding cook.  She and Lynn enjoyed spending time with family and friends, RVing and playing cards on Saturday nights at the dining room table. She was an avid organizer, planner and fierce competitor, never leaving anything to chance—except, perhaps, an errant poker hand or two.

In addition to her husband Lynn, Ida was predeceased by her parents and her older brother Tony.  She is survived by her sons, two grandsons Matt and Ryan McKim (wife Emily), and two great-grandchildren (Brad and Kara). 

Services will be at 2:00 on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Redding Memorial Park, in Redding, California.
