Ronald "Ron" Tim Wilde
July 18th, 1953 - November 25th, 2024
Ronald (Ron) T. Wilde passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, in Meridian, Idaho surrounded by his family and loved ones. Ron was born on July 18, 1953 to Tim and Fay Wilde parents in Coalville, Utah. Ron fell in love and married his sweetheart Vickie on June 18, 1971, and they spent 45 happy years together. We know they have been happily reunited.
Ron enjoyed many activities like golfing, playing scratch ticket games, was a coin collector and baseball cap connoisseur; but fishing was his true passion. Ron loved fishing so much, he kept his favorite poles on a display rack in the living room. If you ever went fishing with Ron, you probably returned home hours later than planned. He was a talented woodworker and always had the best-looking yard on the street. On a typical weekend you could find him with a cold beer cheering on his favorite football teams and grilling a New York steak. Ron and Vickie loved country dancing in their younger days and won several competitions. Ron was a devoted spouse and meticulous caregiver through Vickie’s battle with lupus often performing various medical procedures. The family finds peace and comfort knowing they are dancing together again.
Ron is survived by children: Wendy Snyder (David Meyers) and Jarrad (Julie) Wilde both of Meridian ID; grandchildren Bailey Snyder (Doug Hamilton) of Herriman, Utah, Mikayla Wilde of Meridian, Idaho and Wyatt Wilde of Japan; siblings, Shauna (Jamie) Maxwell and Joe (Vikki) Wilde both of St. George, Utah.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brightstar Care for providing a home away from home for Ron to spend the last months of his life. Many of the caregivers have come to feel like family and are truly appreciated for their selflessness and stories they’ve been able to share with the family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Meridian Friends Church, 1021 W. Pine Avenue, Meridian. Please visit Ron’s memorial website where you can leave condolence messages and memories for his family. The family would also like to request those who knew Ron reach out to share stories about him and his adventures.

We Entrusted Ronald Wilde's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
