James H Hale, 85 of Rotonda West, FL passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024.  He was born on October 14, 1939 in Albany, NY to Thomas and Ella (Stettner) Hale

He grew up in Latham, NY and graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy.  James served our country through the US Navy and US Naval Reserve until 1963 where he successfully completed Radioman Class “A” School.  He had a 29-year career at UPS.  There he had a number of roles over that time and made some great friends along the way that he still remained close with after retirement.

James was passionate about classic automobiles and being a do-it-yourselfer.  He loved restoring properties and focusing on improvements around the house.  Jim always had some projects going.  He had a strong ability to understand how things worked and was always determined to “figure it out.”

James was predeceased by his son James H. Hale Jr., his sister Patricia Tompkins (Hale), and his sister-in-law Janet Hale.  He leaves behind wife of 59 years Anne (Melnyk), his sons Stephen Hale (Robyn) and David Hale (Stacey).  He is survived by his brothers Thomas Hale (Shirley), Robert Hale (Rose), and his brother-in law Ralph Tompkins as well as several nieces and nephews.  James was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
