Harold "Hal" Thiemann

Harold Dean Thiemann passed away peacefully at Bonaventure Senior Living in Tigard, Oregon on November 16, 2024 at the age of 85. Harold (Hal) was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, son, brother and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. Harold is survived by his devoted wife – Joy, his son - Craig & family, his daughter - Kim & family and his brother – Ed & family.  He often referred to his wife Joy as “The Joy of My Life”.

Hal was a man of integrity, strength and deep compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a thoughtful word.  He was raised by single mother with 2 sisters (Betty Jo & Ruthie) and 3 brothers (Richard, Donald & Eddie). Hal and Joy raised two wonderful children in their home in Southwest Portland and then moved to Summerfield in 2003. He spent 40 years working as a minor official with the Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club.  He loved auto racing, hockey and golf. His career consisted of auto repair and then transitioned into Commercial Automation HVAC Lighting and Security Control Systems.

A Post-Celebration of Life will be held at the Thiemann's Barn for cocktails and snacks. Dress warm and wear comfortable shoes due to gravel. Parking is limited.
