David “Tank” Randall Benton, 65, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He was born in Lexington, KY on March 30, 1959, to Pauline Cox Benton, and the late Carlos R. “Tank” Benton. David was a retired sheet metal worker and was a member of Sulpher Well Christian Church in Nicholasville.
He loved riding motorcycles, hunting, and pitching horseshoes with his friends.
Besides his mother, Pauline, those left to cherish his memory includes his sister, Carla (Tony) Sparks; brother, Steve (Shanon) Benton; niece, Victoria Sparks; nephews, Garrett (Brittany) Benton, Seth Benton, Luke (Lindsay) Benton; great nieces, Emmy, Lexi; great nephews, Atlas, Brayden; and special friend, Carolyn Burton.
In addition to his father, Carlos, David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Homer Benton; and Lyndon Cox
A gathering of family and friends is planned for Monday, December 9, 2024 starting at 5pm, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, with a celebration of life service following at 6pm officiated by John Sanders.
