Hilary "Larry" Joseph Dentz
April 17th, 1961 - December 2nd, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hilary Joseph Dentz “Larry”, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend; on December 2, 2024, at the age of 63. Born April 17, 1961, in Minneapolis, MN.
He was the beloved spouse of Terri McClain-Dentz for 36 years.
Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor, his dedication to family, his love for football and old punk music.
He is survived by his wife Terri McClain-Dentz, children Laterrick McClain and Hilary McClain-Dentz, mother Darlene Troiano, brothers Anthony Dentz (Joey, Paige and Anthony) and Jeffrey Dentz, sister Michelle Asmussen, grandchildren Tyara, Roman, Aries, Mydus, Isaiah, Trinity, Phoenix, mother-in-law Alfreda McClain, best-friend Tommy Berg, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and brother-in-laws.
Preceded in death by father Larry S. Dentz and sister Stephanie Compton (Jerad).
A memorial service will be Friday, December 13th at 12 PM, with a visitation 1 hour prior. At Spielman Mortuary, 344 University Avenue W, St. Paul, MN 55103. He will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Spielman Mortuary has been helping Saint Paul families since 1950 when Kenneth and Helen Spielman purchased the National Funeral Home. For over 30 years, the couple lived above the funeral home and took just one vacation. They sold the home in 1984 to the Willwerscheid family. We still operate Spielman Mortuary with the same traditions of pride, sensitivity, value, and attention to detail that the Spielmans followed for over three decades....
