Heather Lee Beall
October 8th, 1934 - December 5th, 2024
Heather Lee Mary Beall was born on October 8, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Kenneth and Maureen Atwell. Heather was the oldest of four children who moved for their father’s work as an engineer. When Heather was in high school, the family settled in Caldwell, Idaho, where they prospered.
In 1952, Heather graduated from Caldwell High School with honors. In high school, Heather was the Senior Class Secretary, a member of the Office Staff, a Pep Club member, and Vice President of the National Honor Society.
Heather went to the College of Idaho for a year and later graduated from Boise Junior College (BJC) in 1954 with a Secretarial Sciences associate’s degree. She met George Beall at BJC who was drafted into the US Army and served in Germany from 1955-57. During his military service, Heather traveled by ship to Europe to be with George. Heather and George married in 1956 on the Rhein-Main AFB. For their honeymoon, they toured western Europe. While in Germany, their first son, Steven Craig, was born in 1957. After his military service, Heather, George, and baby Steven returned to Boise, Idaho. In 1958, Greg Michael was born followed by Brian George in 1961 and Andrew Nicholas in 1966. Heather extremely loved and was very proud of her sons. Reflecting on her life, Heather said her greatest life's joy was raising her sons as a homemaker. In her later years, her son loved and cared for her dearly.
Heather was a lifelong Catholic who enjoyed attending Mass and being a part of the Catholic community. Until her death, her best friends were from Sacred Heart Parish in Boise. Whether at church or at home, Heather spent many hours praying for friends and family and praying the rosary.
Heather had seven grandchildren, Eric, Keith, Michael, Chris, Marcus, Viveca, Katrina; four great grandchildren, Nathan, Sarah, Matthew, Meagan and two great great grandchildren, Peter and Kora. She loved and was very proud of her grandchildren whether they were winning awards, working a summer job or as her family.
Heather is survived by her sons, Greg, Brian and Andrew. Heather is predeceased by her son, Steven, George, and her parents, Kenneth and Maureen.
Heather's Rosary will be on Friday, December 13th at 10 am. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11 am on December 13th. Both will be at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Boise.
