Linda Lee Goins Jones, of Kernersville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2024, at the age of 73. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, there was no question she was dedicated to her family.

Linda was born to John Henry Pack and Lillian Pike Goins on July 29, 1951, in Dobson, North Carolina. She married the love of her life, Ernest Jones on July 3, 1972. She enjoyed weekend car rides to the mountains, spending time with her family, friends, shopping, decorating for all the holidays and loving on her dog and cat. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will cherish every memory and adventure they had with her. She will be missed immensely but her legacy will live on forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Pack and Lillian Pike Goins; and her siblings, Clinton Goins, Carl Goins, Jessie “Tody” Goins, Billy Goins, Cecil Goins, Floyd “Buddy” Goins, Wilcher “Johnny” Goins, Sanders “Samp” Goins, Lois Goins, Dorothy Goins “Dot” Chandler, and Sissy Goins.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Jones; her sons, Jody Jones (Tonya) and Ernie Jones (Tracy); her daughter, Joy Parrish (Stephen); her grandchildren, Brittany Jones Clubb (Justin), Brayla Jones, Cole Parrish, and Myah Jones; her great grandchildren, Ryleigh Clubb, Levi Clubb and Hadleigh Dawkins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, but especially to the nurses, Madison, Mejii and Nichole. The family also wishes to “Thank You” all for your continued prayers, love and support during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Wednesday prior to the service.
