Theodora Dingae
July 8th, 1936 - December 4th, 2024
With profound sadness and love, we share the news of Theodora (Teddi) Dingae's (Nee Venditti) peaceful journey home. Teddi, our beloved matriarch, passed away on December 4th, 2024 at 2 pm., at University Hospital in Denver, Colorado. At 88 years young, she departed suddenly from complications due to a brain aneurysm, wrapped in the loving embrace of her devoted husband and cherished family members.
Born into a warm Italian family on July 8th, 1936 in Kingston, New York, Teddi was one of 4 daughters of Luigi and Rosa Venditti (Nee Calvacchi). She joins her beloved parents, dear sisters Antonette, Mary, and Louise, and precious son Matthew in eternal rest. Her legacy of love lives on through her adoring husband Ivor (Ike), brother Candeloro Venditti, beloved sons Jason and Brandon, and six cherished grandchildren - Connor, Chloie, Scarlett, Mack, Sadie, and Hannah.
Teddi's heart overflowed with boundless love for her family. After meeting her soulmate Ike at IBM, she embraced her true calling - nurturing her family with unwavering devotion. Though she occasionally worked for Boulder Valley School District and a local plumbing company, and recently helped her son's trucking business, her greatest joy came from being there for her loved ones.
Her zest for life shone through in everything she did. Together with Ike, she embarked on beautiful adventures worldwide, including heartwarming visits to her ancestral home in Italy. But nothing brought her more joy than precious moments with her grandchildren, who were blessed with her abundant love and attention. She found simple pleasures in movie outings, estate sale treasure hunts, and staying active.
In her kitchen, Teddi created more than just meals - she crafted expressions of love. Her legendary Sunday family dinners became a cherished tradition, where she poured her heart into every dish. These gatherings were a testament to her generous spirit, as she welcomed family and friends to share in the warmth of her table and her heart.
Teddi's spirit was as beautiful as it was strong. While known for her directness and determination, it was her tender heart and nurturing soul that defined her. Though her departure was sudden, her impact on our lives is eternal. We will forever celebrate the love, warmth, and joy she brought to our lives, keeping her memory alive in our hearts and through the traditions she lovingly created.
