Gloria "Punkin" M Friday

Mrs. Gloria Friday was a native of Gastonia, NC, born on February 8th, 1959.  She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Adams and Willie Lowery.  She gained her wings on December 8th, 2024, at Moses Cones Hospital, Greensboro, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Adams, father Willie Lowery, husband Perry Friday and her brother King Curtis Williams, Jr. (Julia). 

She was known by her siblings as Punkin, her sassy but fitting nickname. Her education was completed at Hunter Huss High School of Gastonia, NC.  Gloria was a textile machine operator for Pharr Yarns of Belmont, NC for 20+ years.  Gloria shared her life with her beloved husband Perry Friday, who she loved dearly, and preceded her in life. 

In 2014 she moved to Greensboro, NC to live with her daughter Felisica and her grandkids, Titus and Naima.  Gloria enjoyed outdoors, working in her garden, cooking, grilling, dancing and listening to her hip hop music all while wearing her shades. 

Gloria provided life and loving care to her children: Anthony Love (Keyunna), Felisica Love and Marcus Love.  Her lovely Grandchildren: Titus Brown, Naima Brown, Kyra Love, Luke Love, Isacc Love and Londyn Love. Her siblings Benjamin Williams (Mitchell), Zeke Williams (Waynella), Pete Lowery (Sonya) and Eugene Lowery (Jeannette) all of North Carolina. She leaves her love to be carried on through her nieces, nephews and friends.   Gloria’s furry friend Remy Ma Brown will miss her dearly.

Her memory lives in all their hearts.
