Doris C. Thomas
March 18, 1931 – December 5, 2024
Beloved mom and grandma, entered into eternal life on December 5th, 2024. Doris was born in Jordan, Montana on March 18, 1931, the youngest of six children born to Fred Kibler and Helen (Wheeler) Kibler. She had an extreme fondness for Alaska where in 1949 she met and married an Ohioan, Harold Thomas. They were married one week short of their 60th anniversary when Harold passed away in 2009. Both enjoyed traveling by car throughout the U.S. and Canada and had visited all fifty states together. Doris was an avid reader (particularly of mysteries) and enjoyed baking for her family, playing cards and board games, doing jigsaw and sudoku puzzles, and occasionally “running up the hill” to the gambling towns of Central City and Black Hawk. Doris was a resident of Westminster, CO for 64 years (the last five years as a resident of the Arbors at San Marino), a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and a former volunteer for Westminster Public Library. Doris is preceded in death by her husband Harold, son Terry Thomas, parents Fred and Helen, brothers Fred, Keith and Dean Kibler, sisters Alice Meyer and Lucile Halfacre. She is survived by daughter-in-law Roxane Thomas; daughter Vickie Voth and son-in-law Jay; sons Bradley and Brian Thomas; grandchildren Christina Esterle, Thomas Voth, Patrick Thomas, Matthew Thomas and Branden Thomas; great-grandchildren Ruby Voth, Koda Voth, Grayson Thomas, Cameron Thomas, and Jameson Thomas.
