In Loving Memory

Stacy Gordon Mitchell, the husband of Allison Epps Mitchell, died on Saturday, December 7, 2024.  Born February 2, 1961, in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of Dixie Carriker Mitchell.

Born and raised in Mint Hill, North Carolina, Stacy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Computer Engineering. He furthered his education by pursuing a Master's Degree from Virginia Tech. Stacy dedicated his professional life to technology, working as an IT Specialist for the state of South Carolina and later for Bernhardt Furniture in Lenoir, North Carolina. On December 10, 2011, he married the love of his life, Allison Epps Mitchell. Throughout their marriage, Stacy was a constant source of support, especially during challenging times as Allison cared for her family members. His unwavering devotion was an inspiration to all who knew him.  Stacy was a man of many interests. He found joy in working in the yard, experimenting in the kitchen, and exploring new places with Allison.  Sadie, Goldie, and Molly, his beloved dogs were constant companions throughout their marriage.

Stacy is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Allison, of Lexington, SC; his mother, Dixie, of Charlotte, NC; his twin brother, Tracy Mitchell of Mint Hill, NC; his aunt, Starr Estes of Matthews, NC; and a host of cousins in North Carolina.  He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Lois and Johnnie Carriker.
