Chad (Chaddy) Lee Grant was born April 19, 1975 in Thornton, Colorado to Larry Grant (deceased) and Sharon Lacy. He passed on December 8, 2024 surrounded by friends and family.

He attended school in Rocky Ford, Colorado where he played high school football, wrestling, and track. He graduated in 1994.

His favorite hobbies were working on cars and being a crew member for the Lacy Racing Team and the Jimmy Ford Racing Team. His passion for racing was unmatched. Everyone knew he was a valuable asset and the racing teams will deeply miss having him.

He was employed by UPS for 26 years and was known for his efficiency and being a team player. His death will leave a void in the lives of his coworkers. Chaddy also spent many hours in his shop working on projects while listening loudly to his favorite hard rock music. His favorite catch phrases were "shoot heck" and "you guys are stupid." If one heard stronger language than that, they knew he was really upset... which was rare as he was known for his sweet and kind nature.

Chaddy's legacy is not all about the rewards one receives when they've done a good job. Rather, it's when one touches the hearts and minds of those around them that truly impact the world and determine a successful life. It's apparent that Chaddy was immensely successful.

Chad was loved, honored, respected, and esteemed. His passing will impact many and create Chad sized holes in our hearts. To honor his life, let us fill those holes with memories of him...his sense of humor, his work ethic, his willingness to lend a hand when needed, his faithfulness, and his kindness.

Even in death, Chad's generosity will continue to impact the lives of others. Chad chose to be a donor and because of his sacrifice and thoughtfulness over 75 people’s lives will be changed forever.

Chaddy is survived by his mother Sharon Lacy and stepfather Dan Lacy, siblings Juel Grant and his wife Teresa, Renee Kortz-Oyler and her husband Dan, Brian Lacy and his wife Kerri, Steve Lacy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We love and will deeply miss you Chaddy!

Services will be held at 11:00AM, Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Black Forest Community Center located at 12530 Black Forest Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
