Thomas F. Leonido

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Thomas F. Leonido, age 64, announce his passing on December 7, 2024. 

Tom was born on July 12, 1960, in Brooklyn, NY, to  the late Anna (nee DeVito) and George J. Leonido. He was preceded in death by his brother, George N. Leonido. 

He will be dearly missed by his beloved daughter, Anna Leonido, former wife, Noreen Leonido, sister Nancy (Ronald) Villanella, sister Roxanne Leonido, nephew Christopher Leonido and niece Nicole Tolson. 

Tom will be remembered for his love of and devotion to family.  He often spoke of his early childhood in Brooklyn surrounded by his grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom moved to Highland Mills, NY, at the age of 10, where the family home on West End Drive became the hub for Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations. He will also be remembered for his love of sports.  When not on the soccer pitch or softball diamond, Tom could be found cheering on his favorite NY teams — Yankees, Giants and Rangers. But, Tom’s greatest love and joy was being Dad to his “Babydoll”, Anna.

Tom was a devout Catholic, committed to prayer and unwavering in faith. Those in his faith community will remember him for his active participation in services and sacraments. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Gregory Barbarigo R.C. Church, 29 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your parish or charity of personal choice.
