Sara "Sarie" Brennan

Sara “Sarie” Brennan passed away at the Hilton Head Hospital on November 29, 2024, on Hilton Head Island, SC. She was 84 years old.
Sarie was born October 7, 1940, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to her parents, James and Frances Murray. She attended Marywood College and later trained as an X-ray technician. Sarie worked as an X-ray technician at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY. She married Leo Brennan in 1964. During her 60-years of married life, she lived in Scranton, Binghamton, Rochester, NY, Atlanta, GA, and Hilton Head Island, SC.
Sarie was a devout Catholic, and she was very active in her church community in both Atlanta and Hilton Head Island. Sarie was generous with her time when it came to volunteer work. Particularly in Atlanta as the Ronald McDonald House volunteer coordinator and with Meals on Wheels. When she was younger, sailing and snow skiing were some of her favorite recreational activities.
Sarie is survived by her husband Leo Brennan, Hilton Head SC, son, Sean, daughter-in-law, Laura, Fredericksburg, VA, daughter Kara, Atlanta, GA, and grandchildren Susanne, Mount Pleasant, SC, William, Arlington, VA and Emma, Fredericksburg, VA.
Sarie's Funeral Mass will be held on January 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis by The Sea Catholic Church.
