A Life Tribute Funeral Care - Largo
Stephen Martin Liberatore
March 26th, 1950 - November 27th, 2024
Stephen Martin Liberatore, 74, passed away November 27, 2024 in Morton Plant Hospital, Largo, Florida, after weeks of failing health. Steve was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Martin A. Liberatore, an engineer, and Minnie Ann Griswold who predeceased him. Steve and his family moved from Massachusetts to New York State where he graduated from Ithaca High School in 1968. He attended college at Niagara University and the University of Buffalo.
Steve relocated to St. Thomas, USVI, in 1971, to enjoy island life. He then moved to Indian Rocks Beach, FL where he lived for 40 years. Steve worked as an iron worker and construction worker in Florida and Louisiana. Later, he served as crew on a charter fishing boat, became an ICW bridge tender, and then worked for many years at Keegan’s Seafood Grille (IRB). He loved Florida living. Steve was an avid sports fan, followed world news, and was very knowledgeable about Florida history and its environment. He had many friends in the IRB community.
Steve is survived by his brother, John M. Liberatore (Lisa) of Rochester, NY; three nephews, Dane (Jen), Jon-Paul (Rachael), and Stephen (Sarah) Liberatore; one great-niece and three great-nephews, all of upstate New York. Also surviving are his uncle and aunt, John M. and Rebecca Griswold of Florida.
