Gabriel Lynn Parks, 43, of Nickelsville went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed farming. Gabriel was a loving father, son, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his, paternal grandparents, Trigg and Jeanell Williams Parks; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Mildred Casteel Gillenwater; father-in-law, Carlos Bright.
Survivors include his daughters, Gracie Bright Parks and Avery Parks; son, Hayden Parks; father, David Parks (Lou); mother, Debbie Gillenwater; sister, Leslie Parks; mother of his children; April Bright; nephew, Zane Parks; along with host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Steve Collins officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Harris, Greg Turner, Bob Hall, Tim Carter, Barry Compton, and Greg Parks. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
