Hector Aponte

In Loving Memory, Hector lived a life as bold and vibrant as his spirit. 

Born on December 6, 1951, he passed away just one day after his 73rd birthday, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and unforgettable memories. A devoted son, brother, uncle, husband and father, Hector's life was a rich tapestry of accomplishments and passions. He is survived by his children, and grandchildren. As a Marine, he served his country with honor and courage. As a pilot, he soared above the clouds, embracing the freedom of the skies. As an entrepreneur, he turned his endless ideas into realities, always chasing the next great venture. 

Hector had an undeniable charisma, making friends wherever he went and forging connections that spanned the globe. He had an unmatched zest for life—whether whipping up a meal in the kitchen, throwing a party, or simply sharing a laugh. Fiercely independent, he lived on his own terms, unapologetically bold and true to himself. Though his presence was larger than life, he was there when it mattered most. His warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Hector's memory lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.  Rest in peace, Your legacy of love, laughter, and daring will endure forever.   

Visitation will be at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr MLK Jr Street North, from 10a-12p on Thursday, December 19, 2024 where the family will greet friends.

To begin the gathering, Taps will be played at 10a to honor his military service to our country.
